Day 1 |
Arrive in Yarmouth and collect your waiting rental car. Depart along the scenic Evangeline Trail and drive through Acadian villages through to Digby (famous for its scallops). Depart for Annapolis Royal, where you step back in time. Settled by the French in 1604, the historic buildings are amazing to explore. Check into your bed & breakfast for a relaxing night. |
| Days 2 & 3 | A little more sightseeing might be the order of the day or, for outdoor enthusiasts, you will probably prefer to get on the road early and spend the day at Kejimkujik National Park: a wonderful park where you can hike, canoe or kayak and relax in the beauty and tranquility. It is approximately one hour's drive to Lunenburg for your accommodation for the next two nights. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is an excellent place to explore some of our magnificent coastline. You are only an hour away from Peggy's Cove, or an hour and a half from Halifax. But don't worry: there are plenty of things to keep you busy right here with golf courses, fishing villages, museums, craft shops and amazing restaurants. A comprehensive list of activities will accompany your itinerary. |
| Day 4 | Depart for Yarmouth today. The drive will take approximately three hours or less, however you will need to get on the road early to include the Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct, with it's forest and shoreline hikes, and Shelbourne, a stunning little seaside town with a picturesque waterfront, and a multitude of craft stores and restaurants. This quick taste of the Province is sure to tempt you back to Nova Scotia to explore the rest! |
