Lighthouses,
Lobster & Leisure
6 days/5 nights

Day 1

Settle into Halifax and familiarize yourself with the surroundings.
Day 2 Halifax is yours to explore, with cobbled streets, museums, the historic Citadel Hill, city & harbour tours, a casino, fine dining, pubs and sidewalk cafes has something for everyone.
Day 3 Depart Halifax for the famous Peggy's Cove. Explore the rocks worn by the might of the Atlantic or relax and admire the scenery and appreciate why it is so famous. Continue along the Lighthouse route with time to stop in the coves or a beach for a swim or sunbathing.  Approximate driving time today is 2.5 hours, which allows you plenty of leisure time on route to Lunenburg where your quality lodgings are waiting.
Day 4 Lunenburg & Blue Rocks - no travel. You will be in awe of this UNESCO World Heritage site in its 250th year with lots of celebrations planned for 2003. It is home to the Bluenose - Canada's famous schooner: undefeated in eighteen years of racing. This town has lots to offer with fine dining, local crafts and gift stores. We recommend you drive or take a boat tour to Blue Rocks and forget the office for a while.
Day 5 Return to Halifax today.  We recommend that you travel via The Ovens Natural Park, along the LeHave River Valley and cross on the cable ferry to the Fort Point Museum, which was the first capitol of Acadia settled in 1604. Then return to Halifax via Bridgewater and allow time to stop and shop in Mahone Bay: its seaside churches and craft stores will delight you. Driving time is approximately 2.5 hours
Day 6 Depending on your time of departure, you can either take it easy on your last day here, or squeeze in a few more activities before leaving this beautiful province. We are sure that your brief stay here will create a lasting impression and leave you wanting more Maritime hospitality.

This tour is available from Yarmouth, either with your rental car pick-up there, or you may prefer to drive your own car and save!

WHY USE US?

wildlife tours in Nova Scotia

Since 2003 it has been law in Nova Scotia that ALL tour operators in Nova Scotia be licensed by the NSPURB.  Among other things, licensed tour companies carry a required standard of insurance, undergoes six-monthly safety inspections, a full medical kit and other emergency items and that the vehicle has a clearly marked emergency exit. It's easy to tell if your tour company is licensed: a Commercial Plate must be prominently displayed on the front of the vehicle, and sign-writing (name of company, address & phone numbers) must appear on at least two sides of the vehicle. There are no exceptions to this law! For your own peace of mind always ensure you request your tour driver's PURB Licence Number to ensure you are travelling with a legal tour company within Nova Scotia
