Why Tour With Us?

Home

There are many reasons we believe you should pick Kiwi Kaboodle over other companies or taxis, and some of those reasons are:
The size of our vans. The maximum number of people we can take on our regular guided tours is 6 people -- this means we can all get to know each other a bit better, so I can be sure you get to see exactly what you all want to see, and we can spend longer at each stop. No two tours are ever exactly the same, because there is normally someone who wants to see or do something in particular and I always try my best to work those extras into the day.
Our knowledge of Nova Scotia. I'm not someone who keeps to myself, and so when I have been conducting tours and I find myself with time to spent in the various towns and villages the tours take me to, I walk around the towns and speak with the locals who live and work there. Because of that I have developed a keen knowledge of Nova Scotia -- not only geographically and historically, but also socially: all the gossip from yesterday and today! That lends itself to an interesting and often quick amusing tour.
Customised Tours. As mentioned above, due to the size of our vans, it is possible to customise all of our tours to suit the people on board. Why have someone at the front of a large bus with a microphone in their hand tell you where you're going and what you're going to see? On our tours it's up to you.
Our knowledge of travel. We have spent 15 years travelling throughout the world, and we have been on many tours, some very good and some not so good. We believe this has helped us develop a unique touring-style which is refreshing, informative and entertaining.
Fully legal tours! Our van is certified by the Nova Scotia Public Utilities & Review Board, as Nova Scotia law has required since March of 2003. Among other things, this certification means our vehicle carries the proper insurance and is safety inspected every six months by government inspectors. Any vehicle certified by the Nova Scotia Public Utilities & Review Board will have a N.S. commercial license plate on the front of their vehicle.

WHY USE US?

wildlife tours in Nova Scotia

Since 2003 it has been law in Nova Scotia that ALL tour operators in Nova Scotia be licensed by the NSPURB.  Among other things, licensed tour companies carry a required standard of insurance, undergoes six-monthly safety inspections, a full medical kit and other emergency items and that the vehicle has a clearly marked emergency exit. It's easy to tell if your tour company is licensed: a Commercial Plate must be prominently displayed on the front of the vehicle, and sign-writing (name of company, address & phone numbers) must appear on at least two sides of the vehicle. There are no exceptions to this law! For your own peace of mind always ensure you request your tour driver's PURB Licence Number to ensure you are travelling with a legal tour company within Nova Scotia
