Bay of Fundy – Grand Pre – Annapolis Valley
This tour starts with a big drive, so it’s the perfect opportunity to learn a bit about the history of Halifax as we take Highway 10 to the Annapolis Valley – wine country made historically famous by the deportation of the Acadians in 1755 (you didn’t know there was a New Orleans/Nova Scotia connection did you!). Hall’s Harbour has amazing 45 foot tides and when we stop there for the lunch you’ll see fishing boats resting on the harbour floor (as in the photo above) or else floating high by the wharf. Of course, we will also stop at Cape Blomidon and the magnificent Blomidon look-off.
This tour out of Halifax is $500 plus hst for the van (so if there are two of you, it is $250 +hst each; if there are six of you it is $83.33 +hst each). If you choose to add on the Halifax City Highlights it is an additional $65 plus hst.
Save $100! If you are being picked up & dropped off in the Lunenburg/Mahone Bay/Chester area this tour is only $400+hst!
